YouTube is a video sharing website where users can upload and share videos. This website can also be incorporated in the classroom by letting students share videos that are suitable and educational for the classroom.
Another favorite Web2.0 will be blogspot. Blogspot can be used to keep parents and students updated on class information.

Week Four Multimedia
The two types of mulimedia that I can incorporate in the classroom will be powerpoint presentations and the interactive storybooks.
Powerpoint is a multimeadia tool that is used to reach students with different learning styles. This tool has the ability to link to the internet and also have video access.
Interactive storybooks help young children develop matching, reasoning and early reading skills. This is my favorite multimedia tool because the children can actually be a part of the interactive storybook.

Software Week Three
Give examples of software that can be used in the classroom
Concept-Mapping Software- this software allows users to use graphic organizers. There are two types that are used in many classrooms today: the Inspiration and Kidspiration. I will use these tools in the classroom as a form of powerpoint to build charts and graphs.
Load Em' Up:Classroom Management Software- this software allows educators to keep their grades, plann lessons, and keep up with attendence. I will defintely incorporate this into my classroom. It will make the grading system so much eaiser.
The Math Machine: Game #13- this math software is similar to the childhood game "concentration".The object of this game is to match simple- single and double digit addition problems with their sums. The goal is to clear the board by making matches in as few trials as possible. I will use this software in my classroom maybe once or twice a week. I will not use this software to take the place of the old fashioned way of teaching math.

Chapter One Week Two
Three issues shaping the role of technology in education include societal, educational, and cultural and equity issues. These issues are surrounded by society's most profound and problematic issues.
The societal issues shaping technology in education consist of economic conditions, anti-technology positions, and the impact of the NCLB Act of 2001. These issues are requiring that educators set priorities for education money that may not be available to use on any technology material that they want to use in the classroom. The educational issues are standard movement, reliance on the Internet and on distance education, and the debate over directed vs. inquiry-based, constructivist instructional methods. These educational issues play a major role in teaching and learning. The cultural and equity issues include Digital divide, Racial and gender equity, and special needs. All of these issues are changing educaation; but it can also divide members of of our society. That is why teachers play a vital role to make sure technology use promotes, rather than divide us.
Discuss three things we have learned from the history of technology that can help us shape today's use.
-Information Literacy- Society's increasing dependence on technology to communicate information means that students must learn the skills to use information technologies effectively.
-Privacy and safety- As more student data go online and students spend more time on athe Internet, measures have to be put in place to limit access to personal data and to protect students from online predators.
-Funding for educational technology- As technology costs grow and education wane, policy makers want to know and see how the spending can be justified.
